THRIVE Consulting.

A byproduct of HINGE’s popular, one-day THRIVE Workshops, THRIVE Consulting is an assessment service that dives even deeper--in a confidential, one-on-one format--into the financial and operational aspects of a childcare business.

Similar to our workshops, THRIVE Consulting works with independently-owned childcare businesses to revitalize their financials and company value, marketing and branding, and staff and operational management. The goal is to work individually with childcare business owners to provide valuable evaluations, recommendations and resources to grow their schools to be as strong as they can possibly be — assessing and refreshing them from the inside, out.


 

The Process:

  1. THRIVE Consulting experts will conduct an initial interview with the client to assess the childcare business and determine their long-term goals and what areas need attention.
     

  2. Site visits, alongside extended observations, will be made by the HINGE team as well as specially chosen childcare industry experts to further investigate the childcare business’ needs.
     

  3. An assessment of the business and real estate value--including an analysis of tuition rates, discounts, labor costs, facility costs and other expenses--will be performed.
     

  4. Further evaluation of business processes—including management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and financial statement preparation—will be discussed.
     

  5. An evaluation of operational systems—including recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training, curriculum, parent/staff engagement, team development and early childhood best practices—will be conducted.
     

  6. An assessment of the childcare business' current marketing and branding initiatives will be reviewed and new areas of opportunity will be identified.

The Outcome:

  • A comprehensive report will be delivered to the client which will contain an outline of our experts’ findings including a checklist of operational, financial and marketing-related issues, ideas for rebranding, and an improved staff culture guideline with career ladder system, interview protocols and 90-day retention strategy included.
     

  • A living benchmark will be provided to the childcare business owner for reference of where their school(s) stands compared to the average financially healthy early learning school.
     

  • Tuition pricing recommendations will be delivered as well as a plan for other pricing and discounting control as applicable.
     

  • Recommendations will be made for facility and/or program expansion as well as possibility of added locations.
     

  • Experts will recommend marketing best practices, a comprehensive online presence, a social media strategy and will identify KPIs for improvement to increase customer engagement.
     

  • And, finally, a comprehensive implementation plan will be delivered alongside post-consultation coaching sessions to ensure ongoing success.
