This is Kathy’s fifth year contributing to the annual ‘Status Report on For-Profit Child Care’ for Exchange. Each year, Kathy interviews CEOs of the top 50 largest early education organizations for their insights and quotes on the current state of the industry.

This year’s article discusses the ongoing labor shortages coupled with enrollment demands and children’s development delays due to the aftereffects of the pandemic—making early education work even more challenging. However, even with the difficulties, most CEOs express optimisim for the future growth and investment in the industry.
